Dr. & Mrs. Redisch Give Back with Retained Life Estate Charitable Donation

Alfred RedischWhen Alfred Redisch, DPM, and his wife Rozelyn told their attorney in 2005 they were interested in creating a charitable gift donation, she recommended a retained life estate gift that would benefit Torrance Memorial.

Alfred Redisch, a retired podiatrist, and his wife, a travel consultant, both liked the idea immediately. "We have been a part of the community for a long time," says Rozelyn. "Plus, I have received great care at the medical center. This is a way to give back."

The retained life estate gift the Redischs created allowed them to donate their Palos Verdes home to Torrance Memorial while retaining the right to live in it for the rest of their lives. Plus they enjoy the philanthropic and financial benefits of a planned gift to Torrance Memorial. (Sadly, Dr. Redisch passed away in 2012, and Rozelyn continues to live in the home.)
